How to Be a Successful Student?
Everyone has his/her own personal opinions on how to be a successful student in college. All it takes to be a successful student is these five key steps to follow; having goals, being passionate about school , attending class on a regular basis, building a good relationship with your teachers, and completing all class work as well as homework.
To begin with, having goals plays a big part in becoming a great student. When you set goals that are possible to meet your more likely to full fill them. Like simply saying you’re going to pass a certain class, or even setting a year to graduate from college. Doing this also motivates you to do even better in school because by setting goals you’ve made a promises to yourself that you will do whatever it takes to keep. For example by setting goals a student will know where he/she stands and where he/she is going in school.
Another key step to follow when he/she is trying to become a successful student is that a student has to be very passionate about school. The reason being is because when a student is passionate about school he/she loves school, school is a student’s everything, school is the student's life. So it becomes an everyday life style to get good grades, pass all your classes, study hard, complete all your assignments, build a relationship with your teachers, and attend class on a regular time. Being that he/she is a passionate students you practically live and breathe good grades.
A third key step you should follow if you really want be a successful student is attend class on a regular basis. How can a student be successful when he/she is never in class? "Its impposable!" By always being present in class he/she is able to take good notes and always catch his/her teacher’s lectures. The student knows what’s going on in the class. The student has a healthy relationship with the professor. Also the student is able to keep up with his/her class work as well as homework every time its given by the teacher. All that is possible just by attending class. As a result of that most likely the student will pass the class.
A fourth step to follow when trying to be a successful student is to build good relationships with your teachers. The reason being is because when he/she achieves a great relationship with his/her teacher the teacher knows the student personally. The student can go to the teacher when ever he/she has any problem with ease because of their great relationship. Also as a student you never know when you’re going to need one of your teachers to write you a letter of recordation.
The last thing he/she has to do to ensure that their going to be a successful student is complete all class work as well as homework. How can a student pass a class with out doing any work? Doing work in class is very important because by not doing any work in class you not learning anything at all. For example just attending in class is not enough, you have to be very active in the class as a student. Just going to class and sitting down your not accomplishing anything nor learning anything, therefore your wasting your time. So the best thing to do is go to class all time especially when you have to buckle down as a student complete all class work and home work when given by the teacher. I guarantee if you follow this method there’s no way you wont pass the class. Teachers give class work and homework for a reason its part of the learning process in the class. Part of being a great student is following the teachers’ rules and guidelines. So if a student is given class work and homework by a teacher it’s very essential that he/she takes the reasonability as a student and does the work.
In closing, everyone will continue to have their own personal opinions on how to be a successful student. But it will still take these five very simple key steps to become a successful student one is having goals, the another is being passionate about school, the third is attending class on a regular basis, the fourth is building a good relationship with your teachers, and the very last one but most important one is completing all class work as well as homework.
